I enjoyed the story, but while I liked it the premise isn't new. The new girl in the neighborhood encounters problems at school, the two best friends come to her defense and the three of them become inseparable. Problems arise when rumors about just how close they are start to circulate. The girl runs away, but eventually comes back. The inevitable HEA compares to the trio. However since this is a novella it doesn't have as much detail about who was circulating rumors, the accident that killed her parents or about the cousin she came back to town to work for. It's a cute story with tons of holiday and "A Christmas Carol" references. I sort of wish there was something between "it's okay " and "I like it". I think it could have been better, but my reaction was more than it's okay.
A quick, fun read with smutty fluff, a threesome and a *rawr* boxer with chains..

Just finished Marley in Chains and want to read it again. Best early Christmas present I ever bought myself. Hard and heartbroken, the heroes Michael and Carlos, reconnect with their long-lost high school sweetheart, Marley. R.G. Alexander gets you emotionally invested in her characters from the get-go. I promise, you'll fall in love with the heroes and wish you were Marley. Sexy as hell, the seriously hot sex scenes are great, but they aren't my favorite part of this story. It's the romance!!!

Buy this and the rest of the Smutketeers Kinky Christmas Carol...be a good girl, but read something naughty this Christmas!

RG has written an amazing story with characters I can relate to and felt attached too. What more can a reader ask for than to be sucked into the story with well written characters.
I really enjoyed reading this book about Marley, Carlos & Michael, who were best friends since they were kids and with Marley when she was eleven years old. They lost touch with each other when Marley left at the age of seventeen, too live with her mothers family the wealthy Knights of Chicago, right after her parents funeral, they died on New Years Eve. They had gone to a party and had left Marley home since she was grounded, but she had to sneak out to see her two best friends Carlos & Michael, and make sure they were okay, she hadn't seen them in over three weeks, since her step-father Joe caught her fooling around with her beasties. Anyway when they got home from the party she was gone, they went back out to look for her, they were stopped at the light and somebody crashed head on into the car killing them instantly, the cops came looking for Marley and told her what happened, she felt guilty, because on her way to see the guys she heard a crash and the sirens, but just didn't know it was her life that would be coming to a end. Now seventeen years later, Marley gets a phone call from the concierge desk that a gentleman is their to see her, she said send him up. When she answers her door she's expecting somebody different, not Michael and she just stares at him, he says nice to see you too Marley as he pushes past her. How long have you been back, never mind I don't want to know, Carlos needs you, come down to the ring tomorrow and we'll talk, and he walks out her door. Marley hasn't seen her boys for years, and has no idea what's up with Carlos, so she has the secretary Douglas do some detective work to see what she is up against. Turns out he almost lost his leg in a road side bombing in Iraq six months ago, he's had multiple surgeries uses a cane and does have use of the leg but the scaring is very bad. He's also in a bad place in his head. Marley does go and see Michael the next day, he brings her up to his office, while they are chatting Carlos walks in, and says you called her! Read this book because it will make you laugh, cry and cum up at storm! Enjoy reading it!
Marley works for her cousin a Holly as a personal assistant. Michael & Carlos were high school friends, they all were inseparable. That is until the day Marley's parents were killed in a car accident. She is devastated and believes their accident was her fault because her dad found out she was in love with & planning a night with her two men. 17 years later Michael owns a boxing gym & Carlos has been honorably discharged from the Marines due to an injure he suffered in combat. Michael knows Marley is back in town & visits her, telling her he is "cashing in all the chips she owes" & that Carlos needs her, as he is having trouble adapting to life outside the Marines. They embark on a journey of discovery & trust where Marley must give over herself to them. This is an interesting adventure, as Marley learns much needed information about "her men". Can they get her to give up the fight & enjoy the amazing life the three of them could have, or will she run scared like last time? Pick up this series, they are a quick enjoyable read for sure!
